Return It in Barriere

Barriere and area residents know where they can take their beverage containers, rather than having them go to the local landfill. The local bottle depot, BagLady Enterprises, has been owned and operated by Kathy and John Corrigall since 2001. It has been the heart of the area’s recycling since that time, and the business fits well into today’s ‘Green Enterprise’ initiative.

ENCORP, the company the Corrigalls contract their recyclable beverage containers to, has recently changed its logo to say ‘Return It Centers’, because it says, “The words Bottle Depot do not adequately explain the range of containers accepted for refund and recycling.”

Kathy Corrigall explains “everything we take in falls into the category of UBC (Used Beverage Containers). This includes everything from cans to bottles, and plastic containers.”

BagLady Enterprises and the Corrigalls are often on the front line helping local groups and organizations with their fundraising efforts. By giving customers the option of dropping their refund money into marked containers representing these fundraisers, the Corrigalls have assisted in rasing thousands of dollars for worthwhile projects. BagLady Enterprises has become a popular recycling facility within the North Thompson Valley.
