Climate Action Plan

Climate Action in the 21st Century

Climate Action for the 21st Century demonstrates how government is acting decisively to mitigate and adapt to the direct consequences related to climate change, building on commitments contained in the Climate Action Plan which was released in 2008. It summarizes key initiatives and progress made through 2009 and describes actions that will be undertaken as government moves closer to its target.

The report fulfills the Greenhouse Gas Reductions Target Act requirements with respect to the progress, action and plans to achieve the emissions reduction targets.

Climate Action Plan

The Climate Action Plan is B.C.’s roadmap to a new, prosperous, green economy for the province. It outlines strategies and initiatives to take B.C. approximately 73 per cent towards meeting the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 33 per cent by 2020.

The Climate Action Plan was released in June 2008.
