Progress and Timelines
According to independent economic analysis and modelling, the initiatives included in B.C.'s Climate Action Plan will take us 73% of the way to our 2020 emissions reduction target.

Revenue-neutral carbon tax comes into effect. The carbon tax makes it possible to reduce the bottom two income tax brackets by 2 per cent, reduce the small business tax rate from 4.5 to 3.5 per cent, and reduce the general corporate rate to 11 per cent. |

Climate Action Team makes recommendations on how to close the gap to meet the goal of 33 per cent emissions reduction by 2020, and recommend interim targets for 2012 and 2016. |
