Taking Climate Action: James Balog
Photographer James Balog's latest work, the Extreme Ice Survey, captures the twisting, soaring forms of threatened wild ice. His network of time-lapse cameras recorded glaciers receding at an alarming rate, some of the most vivid evidence yet of climate change.
Balog shares new image sequences from the project in a recent TED Talk. A new Nova/PBS TV special and a new book, Extreme Ice Now, are also helping him spread his message.
